Get ready for the Written Examination for the selection of Sub-Inspectors of Police and Station Officers in the Fire & Rescue Services Department. Remember, the exam will have two parts.
Part I
Tamil Language Eligibility Test [Common for Open Quota and Departmental Quota Candidates] :
The Tamil Language Eligibility Test is a qualifying test with objective type questions worth 1 mark each. For 20% Departmental candidates, the test will be conducted together with open quota applicants. If you’ve applied in both categories, you’ll only need to take the test once.
SYLLABUS FOR TAMIL ELIGIBILITY TEST
The objective type questions will assess your basic knowledge of Tamil language up to the 10th standard of the Tamil Nadu State Board. The syllabus is divided into three parts, all detailed in the PDF.
Part II
Main Written examination for Open Quota Candidates is a 70-mark test with 140 objective type questions, each worth ½ mark. You’ll have 2 ½ hours to complete it. To qualify, aim for a minimum of 25 marks. Here’s the breakdown.
Part A covers General Knowledge (40 Marks – 80 Questions)
Part B includes the Psychology Test (30 marks – 60 Questions)
