Spotify has finally removed its 10,000 songbook size in the library, allowing users to add as much music as they like to their libraries without any restrictions, fixing the issue that has plagued music lovers in the service for years.

While Spotify has more than 50 million songs available to customers to stream at any time, to date, there is a strict limit of 10,000 songs that users can keep their “Music” collection on Spotify easily accessible.

Users have been calling on Spotify to remove the age limit, but the company has expressed disapproval, noting in 2017, “We currently have no plans to increase your Music limit. The reason is because less than 1% of users have access.”

The new system only works on the ability to save songs to your Sotify library. Individual playlists are still limited to 10,000 items, and users can download up to 10,000 songs from each of their five offline listening devices.

Spotify notes contain that it may take a while for the newly released limit to continue to customers, so if you still see an “old collection” error, you may need to wait a while.
